I like Camilla Paglia's statement: "Homosexuality is not normal. On the contrary, it is a challenge to the norm. Nature exists whether academics like it or not. And in nature, procreation is the single relentless rule. That is the norm. Our sexual bodies were designed for reproduction (by God, I would add). No one is born gay. The idea is ridiculous. Gay affirming policies and politics are leading to the ruin of marriage as once known between one man and one woman. Marriage is on the fast-track of no longer being sacred. I personally don't like describing myself as "ex-gay," however; it communicates a quick sound bite of the reality and a direction of many. So while others might be disturbed by the term, "ex-gay" I feel it is a waste of time to wrangle over words that work in concisely communicating.
